Description Internetwork Monitor reports “invalid character in segment

name” when launched

Details If an agent name contains spaces, tabs, or newline characters, Internet-

work Monitor will generate an error message when launched.

Work-Around Ensure that the agent names deﬁned in Agent Manager do not contain

any spaces or special characters.

Description Printing from Internetwork Monitor results in error message

Details See the description on page 17.

Description Pausing the internetwork view for a long period can cause a core

dump

Details When using Internetwork Monitor against an ERM or ERM probes,

pausing Internetwork Monitor’s view for an extended period (typically, a

day or more) can cause a core dump.

Work-Around Avoid pausing the view for extended periods.

Description Internetwork Monitor does not account for LOW-CONTRIB

trafﬁc

Details ERM maintains a LOW-CONTRIB entry, which includes a single trafﬁc

tally for less signiﬁcant contributors. Internetwork Monitor does not

account for or display trafﬁc that has been assigned to the LOW-CON-

TRIB entry. Information on LOW-CONTRIB is included on page .146 in

Data Collector Reference.

Work-Around None.

Internetwork Monitor may not work
