IOS Software Activation

Replacement of an Existing Unit via RMA*

1. Determine the PID and serial numbers of the defective and

RMA devices

2. Enter the service contract number, PIDs and serial numbers

into the “Register for and RMA a License” tool on cisco.com

3. License portal determines PAK associated with defective

device

4. New license issued

5. Customer installs new license on the new device
