4.1 Instructions for connecting to the DS3-IPS via the Internet and

controlling the RPC27-20NC

In this exercise you will connect via the Internet to the DS3IPS. There are two RPC27’s

connected to the DS3-IPS. When you are finished you will have experienced the DS-Series

interface as well as the RPC27’s. You will also learn how to reboot all or individual receptacles

on an RPC27.

Possible live application: You have an email server in a remote location which is locked. You need to

reboot it

What you will need:

Any Telnet software (client) should work. Windows supplies a Telnet client with 95,98,NT and

ME. To access this go to the START menu, click RUN. It should look like:

A. Type [TELNET 209.205.132.26] and hit enter, if you made it through you firewall you will see the following:

B. The username is “admin”, type this and hit enter. You should see the following:
