Rear Panel Description

The power-supply modules have two status LEDs. Table 1-14 lists the LED colors and their meanings.

For more information about replacing a power-supply module, wiring a DC power-supply module, and

for module specifications, see

Chapter 3, “Power Supply and Fan Module Installation,” and Appendix A,

“Technical Specifications.”

Fan Modules

The 24- and 48-port switch models have one internal hot-swappable 12-V fan module that inserts in the

switch rear panel (part number C3K-BLWR-60CFM=). The air circulation system consists of the fan

module and the power supply modules. The airflow patterns vary depending on the power supply

configuration.

AC-Power-Supply Module LEDs

1. If one power-supply module is installed but not turned on, the module LEDs continue to operate because of the shared voltage

between the power-supply modules. If the only operating power-supply module fails or is turned off, the LEDs for neither

module are on.

AC OK Description PS OK Description

Off No AC input power to either power

supply, or both power supplies are

turned off.

Off No AC input power to either

power supply, or both power

supplies are turned off.

Green AC input power present. Green Power output to switch is active

with no fault conditions.

Red No AC input power or power supply

is turned off.

power to the switch, or the power

supply or power supply fan has

failed.

DC-Power-Supply Module LEDs

Off No DC input power to either power

supply.

power supply.

Green DC input power present. Green Power output to switch is active

Red No DC input power. Red DC IN LED is red, no output

power to the switch, or the power
